Hidden Treasure Poem By Edward French

Hidden Treasure

It is with each touch
And motion of my soul
That I become more and more aware
Of the reality of my inner being
God visitations always uplift my spirit
And revive my soul unto life
God is the ultimate reality
To know God is to know the truth
Men of wealth, wisdom and women
Yet search for the simple
And can not find it
The poor, isolated and ignorant
Has found the way of God
And for it has found happiness
Therefore, truth is to know God is real
And where God is we can be also
Heaven can not be less then this
What can be more?

From the desk of the Pastor:

Dear Fellow-Believer,

The lesson below has been designed to assist you in developing a pattern for prayer. From this pattern you will no doubt develop your own emphasis or style of prayer. Hopefully, you will go on into intercessory prayer and long periods of developing of the communion of the Holy Spirit.

It is not intended to be a complete study on prayer, but rather a guide line.

I trust it will assist you in drawing closer to the Lord in a meaningful prayer life. Pastor Edward French

What is our heavenly Father like?

2) FATHER FRIEND & COUNSELLOR. Jeremiah 3:4; Prov. 18:24, Isa.9:6.
3) FATHER OF COMFORT & MERCY. 2 Cor.1:3.
4) FATHER OF FORGIVENESS. John 8:1-11, Dan. 9:9, 2 Chron.7:14, 1 John 1:9, Ps. 103:3.
5) FATHER OF LOVE. John 16:27

Our heavenly Father's responsibility:
1) FATHER TO THE SINGLE. 2 Cor. 6:18. Psa. 68:6
2) FATHER TO THE FATHERLESS, Psa. 68:5-6; Rom. 9:25
3) FATHER OF THE DISCIPLINED. Heb. 12:13
4) FATHER DEFENDER. Ps. 91:1-3.

(B) HALLOWED BE THY NAME
"Hallow" means to sanctify. set apart, to be praised and adored.
Ex. 20:7, opposite - taking Lord's Name in vain. Rom. 2:24.
Revelation brings praise and worship - praise, singing, shouting: Psalm 22:3, Psalm 100.
Revelation In Character of God. Ex .3:13.

"Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done".

Proclaiming His Kingdom: Tongue determines our direction (James 3:3-5).

TWO ASPECTS OF GOD'S KINGDOM RULE

1) Is a Prophetic fact: Isaiah 9:8-7; Dan. 2:44-46: Rev. 11:15.

2) In the heart and lives of men NOW:
- is theocratic. NOT democratic
- comes by abdication of SELF on the throne
- comes by new birth NOT new beginning
- comes in individuals NOT just Kings and nations
- is in our midst (Luke 17:21)
- lived out through us (Matt. 6)
- not a passive haven of rest (Matt. 11:12)
- is living in the Holy Spirit (Rom. 14:27). Opposite to Satan
- is power (1 Cor. 4:20)

Righteous rulers = national revival

5) INTERNATIONALLY

Extend your thinking (Psa. 24:1-2)
Jerusalem (Psa. 122:6) - untouched by world.

SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM.

Intercession Prayer Part II

STEP 4 – PURITY – Elder Damita Lucas 2 a.m. (30 min. lesson and prayer)
"Forgive use our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors".

CLEAN BEFORE THE FATHER AND OTHERS.

A. THE SCOPE OF FORGIVENESS:
For all

B. THE CONDITIONS FOR FORGIVENESS BY GOD ARE:
Forgive others, Matt. 6:14-15.

Difference between reconciliation with God to man and man to man:
God to man - Confess - Repent - Forgive - God forgets
Man to man - Confess - Repent - Forgive - Hard to forget

C. THE CHOICE FOR FORGIVENESS
Forgiveness is a command and a choice.
Math. 18:23-35. Luke 17:3-5.

Test of forgiveness
The test is HOW YOU FEEL towards the offender afterwards.

Forgiveness is:
- a choice
- an act of the will
- love in action
- God's love in man's heart

STEP 5 – PROTECTION – Elder James Anderson 3 A.M. (30 min. lesson and prayer)
"Lead use not into temptation, but deliver us from evil".

Gen. 22:1; Math. 4:1; James 1:2; James 1:13.

SIX REASONS WE CONFRONT TEMPTATION TEST TRIALS
1) To reveal our inner nature to us. Deut. 8:2-3.
2) To exercise us in spiritual & psychological (mind) warfare. Eph. 6:2, Cor.10:5.
3) Preparation of patience for possession. Ex. 23:29-30; Psa. 105:18-24.
4) Perfect. purify our faith. James 1:2 & 4; 1 Peter 1:8-7; Ex. 14:1-4. Provision for victory. Ex.14:1-4.
6) Reward for endurance. James 1:12.

Three ingredients in temptation:
1) Satan
2) Circumstances
3) Self. Gal. 5 (flesh)

Four major areas of temptation
1) Sexual
2) Quit
3) Ambition
4) Money.

QUITTING: Discouragement: Math. 9:21. Math. 16:23-28 - They didn't give up.

YOU lead YOURSELF away from whatever is your weakness.

DOES GOD HELP US?
1) God knows HOW to help. 2 Peter 2:9

"Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory". Math. 6:9-13.

Love for God and Others

Love for God and Others

I am to be an example to the believers in love. 1Tim 4.12

Since I have purified my soul in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, I must love the other believers fervently with a pure heart. 1Pet 1.22

All that I do is to be done with love. 1Cor 16.14

All that I do with my wife is to be done with love. All that I do with my co-workers must be done in love.

I pursue love. I pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts. 1Cor 14.1

As a man elect of God, holy and beloved, I put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering. I bear with the others, and forgive the others; if I ever have a complaint against any one of them I must forgive them, just as Christ forgave me. Above all things I put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Col 3.12 - 3.14

I am to be rooted and grounded in love. Eph 3.16

God has poured out his love into my heart by the Holy Spirit whom He has given to me. Rom 5.5

I walk in love. Eph 5.2

I am merciful, even as my Father in heaven is merciful. Luke 6.36

I am to suffer long. I am to be patient. I can wait, even when it hurts.

I am to be kind. I am to be gentle to others. I treat others with respect.

I am not to be jealous. I am not to envy others who are blessed with something which I lack. I am not to envy successful ministers, those who have more than me or anyone at all.

I am not to brag. I am not to show off. I am not desirous of being the centre of men's attention. I do not try to impress people by parading MYSELF and what I can do or have done. I do not strut about arrogantly.

I am not to be arrogant. I refuse to be arrogant. I do not boastfully and arrogantly judge others. I am not to criticize and complain about others. I am not puffed up. I am down to earth. I associate with the humble.

I am not to behave unbecomingly. I am not to behave rudely. I must seek to fit in, being sensitive to the emotional needs of others. Where I can, I observe the cultural customs of men provided it is innocent. I don't talk too much. I think of the wants of others. I treat God with respect.

I do not seek my own will, but God's. I don't seek my own interests, but the interests of all, especially Christ. I don't seek my own honor; rather, I have a zeal for the glory of God. I am not to seek my own will, but God's. I am not to seek my own interests, but the interests of all, especially Christ. I must not seek my own honor; rather, I must have a zeal for the honor of God. I must not seek my own profit, but the profit of all, that they may be saved. 1 Cor. 10:32

I am not to be provoked. I must not get annoyed or irritable with people. I must never lose my temper.

I am not to think of evil things, or evil things about people. I am not to take into account wrongs suffered at the hands of another. I do not allow evil suspicions concerning others to take root in my mind. I believe the best I can about others. When I know that something in them is bad I hope for a change. I hold out hope that it was an exceptional, not a habitual kind of thing in their life. I do not think about how to gratify sinful passions.

I cover over sins - not mentioning them unless it will produce some good to do so. I do not repeat the matter of past offences.

I do not rejoice in iniquity, but I do rejoice in the truth!

I bear all things.

I believe everything God says, because I trust Him. I believe the best about others. I believe in God's love and compassion and promises.

I am abounding in positive expectation and hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I hope for the best about others. I hope in God and His Word.

I endure all things for the sake of Christ.

God's love in me never fails. 1Cor 13.4-13.8

I go and do likewise, even as the Samaritan cared for and bound up the wounds of a stranger.

I love __________________, my wife/husband. I am to love her as Christ loved the church, and gave himself for her. Eph 5.25

I must love the Lord my God with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind, and with all my strength, and I love my neighbour as myself. Lk. 10.27
